This was a super event. When attending Insurtechs events I'm often confronted with a lot of hype from the vast numbers of start-ups entering the insurance space but this conference was different as it was largely targeted at the technology teams .
One thing that was really interesting was the presentation on how Shakey the first real world mobile artificial intelligence was developed by stamford back in 1966. Amazing to think that, in many ways this was the precursor to Autonomous cars!.
Great talk on all the challenges in the sector ranging from digital ethics, api integration across platforms, supervisory learning limitations and early stage natural language processing.
In terms of use cases in industry, health stood out to all in terms of where we see real value today.
